Students answered a call to share the gospel in a county where 85 percent do not attend church. When 33 student missionaries arrived in San Diego at the beginning of June, most of them had no idea what the summer would bring. “This is a very different style of ministry from what I experienced back home,” said Jill Stevens, who attends Valdosta State University. “This is definitely not the Bible Belt. The children I am working with have little or no church or even Bible background; it’s all new to them.”

BATON ROUGE, La. (BP)—More than 130 Vietnamese teens from several states converged on Vietnamese Hope Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, La., for their annual sports-and-spirituality camp in mid-July.

“We just want to see kids turning, preparing, fighting the sin in their lives so they can pursue godliness; that’s it,” said Vinh Duong.

posted by Lisa Huddleston

One of the many good things about walking or running outdoors is that you can’t quit before you make it all the way home. But, alas … I walk on a treadmill. That pretty much says it all for me. Yes, I have trouble finishing what I start.
